CHAPTER NINE
Arianna
Telling my husband about my infidelities had been weighing heavily on my mind. At that point, I didn’t know what Brody was capable of. Somehow he had gotten my number, and he called and texted all the time. Why did I have to meet the crazy side nigga that didn’t want to let go? I didn’t know how much more I could take; he was driving me crazy. He had not threatened to tell my husband anything since that day he said something about introducing himself. He just asked if he could see me all the time, and he told me he loved and missed me. I never responded to him, but that did not stop him, so I decided to pay his ass a visit. I rang his doorbell, and a pretty little girl answered the door. I was confused as hell. Did Brody move?
“Um, hi, does Brody still live here?” I asked.
“Yes ma’am, my dad isn’t here right now, but my mommy is,” she said. I looked at the little girl long and hard, and she was the splitting image of Brody’s deceiving ass, and did she just say mommy? As soon as that thought left my mind, I heard a woman ask who was at the door.
“Some lady is here mommy,” the little girl yelled. I started walking off; I needed to get to my car as fast as I could.
“Hello, can I help you?” the child’s mother asked me, who I assumed his baby mama/ girlfriend. I turned to face her, and it wasn’t the same girl I seen him with at the club that night–so he was just slinging his dick all over the place, huh?
“I um, I was selling insurance and I was just trying to see if you and your family need some,” I lied.
“My husband and I get it through his firm, so we don’t need any, maybe our neighbors need some, I can walk you over there if you like,” she told me.
“No thanks, I been over there already, but thanks for the help,” I said as I hurriedly walked off. Before I could get in my car, Brody pulled up. Our eyes met, and his ass knew he had been busted. I got in my car and pulled off.
I was pissed as hell! That nigga had been lying to me for two damn years. His daughter looked to be about seven years old, and he was married. I had been over his house several times, and there wasn’t any evidence that he had a kid or wife. Plus, that jerk told me he didn’t have either. I wasn’t worried about telling my husband now, because I now knew that he had a wife, and two could play that game. I’m sure his wife wouldn’t want to know about us.
I sent him a message letting him know that if he ever contacted me again, I would be contacting his wife. I drove home with a big ass smile on my face, because the stuff with Brody was finally over.
